Asosiasi Kopi Gayo Organic Cooperative (ASKOGO) is located in the Takengon highlands of the Aceh province of Indonesia. This region is also known as Gayo because the farmers are from the Gayonese ethnic group. Sumatra hosts the largest fairly traded producer group worldwide.
Coffees are grown on volcanic soil and are wet hulled and sun dried. Coffees have a earthy flavor with hints of marshmallow and unsweetened chocolate.
