Banko Gotiti Cooperative began in 2012 with 300 members and is one of 26 member co-ops of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmer’s Cooperative hosting 45,000 members. It is a project to support sustainable farming in the Gedeo ethnic region. This area is the highest altitude under cultivation in the country.
Coffees are grown up to 7500 feet and collected in the cherry and dried for 10-15 days. Coffee boasts fruity flavors with hints of blueberry, strawberry and cocoa.
