Jordan Valley, West Bank
Water shortages in the Jordan Valley area have forced farmers to seek out crops that require less, leading them to grow these dates on trees that can also utilize the slightly salty water that sits below the fresh water reservoirs. These exceptionally large, luscious Medjool dates are grown by a 12-member farmer cooperative that was established in early 2000. Enjoy the strong caramel notes in these soft, delectable, natural sweets.
